Gramacho Golf Course as 27 varied greens that enables the golfer to play the same course several times with different greens and new challenges. This course is maintained at tournament standard all the year round.
The wonderful characteristics already existing on the site, from the boulder outcrops and dry stone walling to the fig, carob and olive trees, have been complemented by artfully positioned lakes and bunkers. These hazards, combined with the design of the greens and fairways, result in a challenging but attractive course.
From the first stroke off the tee to the final green, the player must not just play the ball well but also adopt the best strategy to achieve an optimum result. At the end of the round, experienced golfers will be able to confirm that they have played a good course.

Hole	Professional Tips
1	A picturesque tee shot. Lay up short of the central rock and tree outcrop, to leave a flighted short iron second.
2	OB right is the danger off the tee. A long uphill second leaves a short pitch over a nest of sand traps.
3	Anything straight is good off the tee! The green faces you, sopitch your second up to the flag.
4	Think of leaving an uphill putt on this testing par 3.
5	Drive left of the rock outcrop. The second shot plays short off the downhill lie.
6	A fine par 3 from an elevated tee. Club selection is vital. The wind always comes in to play.
7	A great par 4. There is no shame in playing it as an easy 5! Two good shots needed to make an orthodox par.
8	Play for position in the centre left of the fairway, length does not help. Be sure to carry the lake with your second.
9	Over the left hand tree is the line off the tee. The uphill second is all carry, beware the deep greenside bunkers.
10	If you carry the fairway traps your easy second is the reward. Lay up left and face a tough second shot.
11	Left off the tee and then right for the second , sets up a straight forward uphill pitch.
12	Carry the olive tree on the fairway and you have a pitch for a birdie chance.
13	Hard to hit the right side of the green. Aim for the centre and face the more difficult putt.
14	Drive right of the rock outcrop and then use your best distance judgement for this downhill pitch.
15	Not a long shot but requires a clean strike or you may visit the water hazard.
16	Gamble on a long straight tee shot and you can have an easy second. A lay up short of the bunkers & drystone wall is safer.
17	Just hit the fairway off the tee!\|The second is not long.
18	Reach the end of the left hand rock wall and you have a chance at the green.

Directions:

The Pestana Golf Resort, Gramacho Course, is situated close to the town of Lagoa, 4 km from the village of Carvoeiro, 10 km from the village Portimão and 30 minutes away from Faro International Airport. From the airport, take the motorway (Via do Infante - A22), as far as the town of Lagoa. At the junction for Carvoeiro follow this road in the direction of Sesmarias. To assist you, you will find 'Pestana' signed from Lagoa.
